What is a Community Group?
Community Groups are groups of 8 to 20 adults who meet together regularly for food, fellowship, and Bible study. The small group concept is based on the example of the early Christians:
"Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts." Acts 2:46
Community Groups are where relationships are built and ministry begins. They give a strong sense of "belonging." Community Groups are a place of rest, where you can be yourself and find lifelong friends. People grow spiritually in their small group as they study the Word together. We believe all Christians should be in one!

Find a Place – Our hope at Family Life is that our members would find a place where they can truly connect, grow in their walk with Jesus, and experience unconditional love from their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. The absolute best place for this to happen is in the context of a Community Group. Don’t wait around for this to happen. Find your place! (Acts 2:42-47)
Choose to Grow – What happens after we place our faith in Christ? The simple answer is that, hopefully, we begin to grow in our knowledge of Him. We become more and more like Jesus as we live from day to day. Its so much easier for growth like this to happen if you’re in a Community Group. This is a group of believers who will live life with you, cover you with prayer, and challenge you to grow! (1st John 1:5-10)
Dare to Love – As Christ-followers, we’re supposed to love one another. But how do we know what real love looks like? We know what real love looks like by examining the life of Jesus. The love we have for each other should be sacrificial and unconditional. This type of love isn’t easy, but its so worth it! Join with one of our Community Groups as they dare to love each other the way that Jesus loved us! (1st John 3:16-18)
Be the Church – The Church isn’t just a place you go to on Sunday mornings where you sing some great songs and hear an awesome message. The Church is a community of people, redeemed by Christ, who are committed to sharing His message of hope with a world living in darkness. Community Groups provide an excellent opportunity for you to join the body of Christ in this incredible mission…to truly be the Church! (Acts 1:6-11)
